When I started Built For Bluebirds in Norfolk, I wanted to build more than birdhouses. My background in industrial arts and woodworking inspired me to create safe, durable homes for Eastern Bluebirds using thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship. Every birdhouse I build helps these beautiful birds thrive while bringing the joy of nature closer to your backyard. Seeing each new family of bluebirds take flight is what inspires me every day.
A Woodworker's Wildlife Mission
Built For Bluebirds began with my passion for woodworking, first discovered in high school and shaped by years of hands-on experience. Inspired to help local wildlife, I began creating thoughtfully designed, handcrafted bluebird houses based on trusted conservation research.
Thanks to the tremendous response from customers—and their requests for more ways to support wildlife in their own backyards—Built For Bluebirds has grown to include nesting boxes for owls and bats, along with feeders and other products that help create a complete backyard habitat.
Today, my mission is to combine quality craftsmanship, conservation, and education to help families create welcoming backyard habitats where birds and other native wildlife can thrive, while bringing people closer to nature right outside their door.
